CHRISTCHURCH FATALITIES.

' At the inquest on John Ernest Woodrough, who was found in a. dying condition on the Dyer's Pass road on Saturday, the evidence of Mrs Woodrough was to the effect that- deceased, during ' the. past 18 years, had suffered from heart disease. The coroner recorded a verdict that deceased died from heart disease. At the inquest touching the death of Harriet Cook, who died oil Saturday j from the effects of injuries received by i falling from an electric tram car. on the 3rd inst., the evidence showed that the car was slowing down to stop, when deceased, who was 73 years of age, made a false step and fell off. She was rendered unconscious, and never regained consciousness. Her grand-daughteij who was behind her, was not clo?o enough to prevent her falling. A verdict was recorded that deceased died from injuries received from falling off a tram in motion. I
