THE GERMAN NAVY LEAGUE.
ANNUAL MEETING. (Pbess Association.— Copyiuoht.) BERLIN, Monday. At the annual meeting of the. German Navy League at Kiel, it was reported tTiat there were 977,563 members. Prince Henry of Prussia congratulated the League upon the restoration of harmony, and recommended that it base its efforts upon navy law, which was not always rightly understood. The German Admiral Von Weber said the defence of tracle and the coasts was not the only task of the German navy. The grouping of the Powers during the recent events in South-Eastern Europe showed that a strong navy was indispensable to the political prestige of the empire. Admiral Von Weber's demonstration that tho navy law was capable of much furthfvr expansion, which could <oasil.r be mado wider under cover of a batch of new Invincibles, was vociferously ap plauded.
