NELSON CLUB.

The Nelson green wa6 closed for the season on Saturday afternoon, when a match, The World v. New Zealand, was played, the latter winning by .16 points. The players and scores were: — The World: Stiles, Dickson (s), 18. New Zealand : Crawford, Baigent (s), 8. The World: Menzies, Senn, Houlker (s), 11. The World: Clayden, de Castro, Cresswell (s), 26. The World : Clutten, Littlejohn (s), 10. New Zealand: Wilmott, Watt (s), 21. ,_ . The last bowl of the season having been sent down by Mr W. Houlker, the bowlers assembled in the club house, where Mr Cresswell expressed his thanks to members for their cordial support during the season, which had been marked by increased membership and many pleasant games. Reference was made to the excellent services rendered by the secretary (Mr J. G. Littlejohn). Hearty cheers were given the executive officers.
