TETTER, OR HERPES.
This is characterised by an outbreak of small vesicles appearing in groups; as the vesicles increase in size, the flujd which they contain dries and .scales off ; the eruption is accompaned by a burning or smarting sensation, which is often very annoying to th<pationt. Another form appears in patches on the face and neck, on the hands arid wrists, and in the joints. The patches are rough, inclined to crack, and have a raw appearance; the fluid from the surface dries i and is thrown off in bran-like scales; and its duration is often protracted. It is caused hy immoderate use of rich and indigestible food, and a morbid condition of the cutaneous..excretions. External application is of little use in effecting a cure; the use of that great stomach and liver tonic, and blood purifier" IMPES»3 MAT APPLE, is the speediest and surest cure. For all afteetions of the skin this remedy is unequalled. Mr T. Cooke, 43, Martm-square Wellington says:— "l ueod IMPEY'S MAY APPLE for pimples on.. the facfi .and its effect simply; astonished me."
