THE EASTER TOURNAMENT. SATURDAY'S MATCHES. The bowling tournament was continued on the Nelson and Maitai Greens on Saturday, the surface, when play started being in good order, and continuing so throughout the day. On the Nelson green, the Nelson Club defeated Blenheim and Picton ; Thorndon beat Picton ; and Blenheim bjat Takaka. The Maitai Club won all the matches in which it was engaged, defeating Takaka in the morning, and Thorndon and the "Nelson juniors in the afternoon. The Maitai-Thorndon match furnished a fairly rlos; finish, only 9 points separating the aggregates. The visitors won on two rinks.'bnt went down badly on the third. „ Mesdames A. cH. and E. £1. Bisley provided afternoon tea on the Nelson green, and Mrs E. Richards on the Mai--6.1 Saturday evening a large number of local and visiting bowlers assembled at, the Commercial Hotel, where a very enjoyable couple of hours was spent.
