A NEW FREEZING COMPANY.
I MANAWATU AND WAIRARAPA. [Unitbd Pbess Association.) 1 WOODVILLE, Wednes. I A representative meeting of delei gates of sheep farmers from the Bush j District, Palmerston, Feilding, and the j Wairarapa, was held this afternoon for tho purpose of forming a co-operative freezing company. Fourteen persons were present and Mr J. C. Cooper occupied the chair. The meeting affrniyd the desirable-n".-s of forming a company, and discussed at length where the site of the works should be. No finality in this \ respect was arrived at, but it was de- , cided to let it be a question for the : shareholders to decide. The nominal ; capital of the company is to be £100,000 in shares of £5 each. A pro- . visional board was appointed, consisting ' of Messrs J. C. Cooper and Lomax (Pahiatua) ; Kummer (Mauriceville) ; : Wingate and Basillie (Palmerston N.)j , Brookes, Mcllroy (Feilding) ; Groves, 1 McKenzie, Brown, and Falconer (Wai- : rarapa) ; McDonald (Waitahora), and a , representative from Pongaroa. Mr ; Cooper was appointed Chairman of Directors and Mr Milne, (of Masterton), ' secretary.
