The next highest aggregates arc: — Duncan (Millerton), with 408, having made -17; Patrick (Auckland), third, with 107; aud Shaw (Aucklaud) and Guy (Kapouga) 406. Tarr (Karori) and Soper (Tuamarina) are each 405. The match is proceeding. Nelson (Christchurch) secured a possible, the only one of the day. Says yesterday's "The Dominion": — It way thought some time ago that Rifleman W. J. Milroy, of Nelson, had almost outlived his usefulness as a champion shot, owing to a defective right eye Milroy, however is a man of considerable grit He did not care to give the game best, so he tried shooting with his left eye, and did so well that he won the Nelson championship this season. Except for his "crack-up" at the 500 yards in the Wellington match yesterday. Rifleman Milroy is shooting so well at the present meeting that it appear? as if he had regained the form wihich won him the New Zealand championship in 1905.
