DISCOVERIES IN CHINESE TURKISTAN.
IMPORTANT ANTIQUITIES. [Pbess Association. — Copibioht.J (Received March 10, 8.42 a.m.) LONDON, Tuesday. Dr. M. A. Stein, leader of the " Indian Government mission in Central Asia, recently returned to London after covering 10,000 miles in some of the wildest and bleakest regions of the earth 's surface. The journey occupied three years. Dr. Stein detailed before the Geographical Society the discoveries in Chinese Turkestan of thousands of ancient documents, some bearing Greek seals, and including wooden records of a "Chium? trading /fend military occupation from before Christ to 800 years A.D. It is shown that the Great Wall of China on»«---continued a long distance westward. Dr. Stein's narrative was one of 'he most interesting stories told for many years.
