[Pbes9 Association.— Copibiqhi] A FLOODED LOCK. 14 PERSONS DROWNED. LONDON, Sunday. During the preparations to admit the water to "TEe almost finished Victoria Dock at Birkenhead, a high wind and a high tide broke the piles of timber forming the dam. The consequent inrush of water caught 19 of the men working in the dock, and swept away the plaform of a huge crane, which collapsed upon the work-., men, pinning them down. Five had miraculous escapes from death.
