An encouraging report has been received from the Hadley Co.'s bore on the Carrington Road. The depth i^ now 1687 feel, nnd tbe manager states that excellent showings of oil have occurred in the last few days, and the formation being now passed throngh is sandstone, and tho manager considers the well more favourable at depth than any he has seen here. He gets oil between each of the different strata passed through.
