MANU IN THE MAKING.
Soon Mann appears in sight. The land opens out here a good deal, and where the bush has been cleared lies good flat land. It is a township fti the making, aud has a regular rough bush look about it, but will improve in a month or two, and settle down to steady growing. The overseer's house, which has just been, completed, has been nicely painted, but its surrounding are not at all in keeping with it. The Post Office calls Manu Tui, and the place at present has two names. The place has not finished putting itself in order. It will do so shortly though. The cutting is being mad« further on than, this though. On a torraoe further on many men ar«3 working, and they have' been there for months. Eight on to the Hope the track is being made. The bushfellers are now in front, and the work is being rapidly pushed on with it. About 190 men find constant occupation there.
