A lady cyclist ami a trap came into collision at" the Bank of New South Wales corner this morning. The cyclist was riding from the Post Office, and met the trap at the corner. Evidently she thought tho trap was going straight down Trafalgar-street, but it "turned into Bridge-street. The step of the trap caught the cyclist and carried her clean off her bicycle, she baing left standing clear of tho vehicle. A conveniently timed excursion train leaves Kiwi for Nelson on Saturday, as will be seen by referring to the railway advertisements iu to-day's issue. Holiday -excursion tickets will be issued at any station, but for Nelson only (except where tho ordinary farea are less) : but in order that all may share in the reduced holiday fare •the Retainers' 'Association will' issue coupons for a refund of a portion of the railway fare from Hope, Appleby, Richmond and Stoke. It is anticipated that the arrangements may induce a good number of people from the country to come into town for the restoration of the Saturday late-night.
