Kissingi.ii, au o'd town, is under water. Three of the famous saline springs aro flooded, and the Casino is inuudatcd. The Danube at Receusburg rose 10ft. in a night, the stream being full of household uteusils, bathing boxes, and ogricul tural machinery. RIVERS STILL RISING. MANY "LIVES LOST. PRECARIOUS SITUATION OF DRESDEN. DAMAGE BY FLOATING ICE. (Reed. Feb. 8, 9.40 a.m.) BERLIN, Sunday. The rivers Rhine, Elbe, Main, Dannb'e, and Oder, are rising steadily. Many lives already havo been lost. The situation in Dresden is most precarious. The ice on ths Elbe has broken into huge floes 30 centimetres thick. Enormous crowds from the country si3e are assembling in the city to watch the ice crashing into the bridges. The ice has already destroyed the scaffolding of the nearly completed Augustus bridge.
