MR GRAHAM'S RETURN ASSURED.

In connection with tho Nelson second ballot the official return of the Jjlwer poll was received by Mr Glen, Retumin" Officer, last evening. It is different from the unofficial information received in town yesterday morning, aivinff Mr Atmore. 10 .and Mr Graham 1 being 8 and 6 votes respectively. At Bulwer on Tuesday week the voting was Atmore 11 and Grahant-1,- while at Nor'- West Bay it was Atmore 7 and Graham 9. . At Nor'-West Bay last Tuesday Mr Atmore received 7 and Mr Graham. An analyst wifl show that for the two places on Tuesday Mr Graham received 10 votes, as on the previous Tuesday, while Mr Atmore feceived 16 as against 18. The position this morning was:— . Atmore. Graham 2858 2881 Nor'-West Bay 7 4 ! Buiwer 8 6 . Seamen's Votes ° ° 2619- 2897 Majority for Graham with 5 seamen's permits to come : 18. . One seamen's permit was received this afternoon, leaving four to come. It was recorded for Mr Graham, the totals now being:— Atmore 287H Graham 2898 Scrutineers have been appointed by each candidate, and the usual scrutiny under clause 132 section 1 of the electoral Act of 1905 will be mada prior to the declaration of the poll. Among many messages of congratulation on his assured return received yesterday by Mi 1 John Graham one came from Stephen's Island, expressing unanimous satisfaction at the' final result and regretting the circumstance that those on the island had been unable to vote at the second ballot.
