NELSON DEFENCE RIFLE RIFLE V. MOTUEKA RIFLE CLUB.
The Motueka. Rifle Club journeyed to Nelson on Saturday last to try conclusions with the Nelson Defence Rifle Club, and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent. The Nelson men. won, as was to be expected, inasmuch as the Motueka Club get very little practice, and have not the membership that the Nelson Club have to select from. Gledhill and Milroy put on 93 out of the possible 100, Gledhill's performance at 500 being worthy of note, his target showing-4, 5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5-49 out of 50. Appended are the scores, ranges 300 and 500 yards, 10 shots, one optional sighter : —
