TAXATION IN GERMANY.
BERLIN, Sunday. In the Reichstag, Prince Von Buelow, the Chancellor, introduced a Bill to raise £25.000,000 additional taxation. He defended the increase in the navy, owing to Germany '§ rapid economic expansion. He belioved thst the British mistrust and antagonism were not unconquerable. There tras no imminent danger of war if coolness and calmness in the conduct of affairs were displayed at home and abroad. , Herr Sydow contended that Gorinany was well .able to bear the proposed increase in the taxes on beer, spirits, and tobacco, which were all much lower than in Britain.
