THE AUCKLAND TRAMWAY STRIKE.

FINDING BY THE ARBITRATION COURT. [United Phess Association.] AUCKLAND, Thursday. The Arbitration Court has ordered the Tramway Union to pay £60 to the Electric Tramways Company for breach of awards arising out of. the late strike. The Court held that in dismissing Conductor Hertson with a week's notice, a week's pay should have actually been handed to him;/ but it regarded the breach as trifling, and did not impose any penalty. The Court held that the Company was not bound to find work for regular employees! on Christmas Day or Sunday, and that the men wero entitled only to pay for the actual time worked on those days.
