A TEST TO BE MADE. .

The City Council held a special meetine last evening to consider matters in connection with the water supply. The Mayor moved that the effect of the meter on the pressure of water be tested by the Fire Brigade. A test should be made with the meter connected, after the test the meter to be- disconnected, proper pipes put in and a test made without the meter being connected. The Mayor said that the Fire Brigade was prepared to make the test. Cr. Turner seconded. Cr. Hampson asked what the cost would be. The City Engineer said that a bypass would cost about £50. The motion was carried on the voices.
