A TIE FOR SECOND PLACE.
(From Our Special Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The Nelson hockey representative team beat Wellington A team by 2 to nil. Nelson lost the toss and Wellington soon had possession of the ball and carried it to their circle ; but Nelson's good defence saved. Play was then very even and fast, and half-time sounded without a score. The second sr>ell was even faster, but Nelson manaccd to eet the best of itl After a. eood passing rush Nelson, centred, and enabled Miss Kelling to score. Wellington then gave Nelson a bu6y timo, but Nelson, after beinp; hard put to it, made a eood rally, and Miss Kelling again found the net. Nelson will play off with Wairarapa for second place in the tournament.
