[Uxiteo Press Association.] TIMARU, Tuesday. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court opened here this morning before Mr Justice Williams, who congratulated the district on the lightness of the calendar, there being only two criminal cases — one of assault upon a girl, and the other wilfully shooting horses. In the latter case the accused pleaded guilty, and was admitted to probation for 12 months, and ordered to pay £40 damages to the owner of the horses, and also costs of the prosecution, £10,
