Gainsford, of Harwarden, Canterbury.— Resolved as the reason adduced by Mr Wattie does not in the opinion of the Board, come within the meaning of the proviso to regulation 12 of the regulations under the Lands for Settlement Act-, viz., that on the death of a lessee, or the happening of an extraordinary event, a transfer may, with the sanction of the Land Board "and the Minister, be made, the applicant, be refused.
