..I — PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES. Mr T. W. Hislop having decided to contest the Mayoralty a fourth time, there is v interest being evinced as to whether any opposition will be forthcoming. This morning a "Post" reporter asked Mr J. G. W. Aitken if he had made up his mind on the matter, and Mr Aitken answered that he had been asked by several people to become a candidate for the office, but he had not vet made up his mind on the matter. "Another citizen who lyw been spoken of as a prospective candidate is Mr John Dnthie, but in reply to the "Post" representative's query this morning he said that on no account whatever woujd he be an aspirant to the office.
