DETERMINED SUICIDE.
[United Pbbss Association.] AUCKLAND, Monday. A young man named David Ernest Forest, aged 19 years, has committed suicide. He was employed as a carpenter at the Chelsea Sugar Works. He eft his home stating that he was going •abbit shooting. Later on Bis brother :ound a letter that deceased had writ«n, in which he stated that he was ifraid that he was going "dotty," and ntended putting an end to his life. Che brother proceeded, with his noher, to the spot at Mayfield indicatdin the letter. There they found deeased 1 s body, with a gun lying beside t. Deceased had apparently placed the luzzle of the gun in his mouth, and 1 hen pulled the trigger, for his head ?as terribly shattered. It appears he ad spent many sleepless nights in fearfan operation, the dread of which reyed on his mind.
