MUNICIPAL SERVICES.
Again a movement is on foot for the acquisition of the Wellington Gasworks, and the Kelbume and Karori tramways, by tha city corporation. The movement in this direction has no doubt I been accelerated by the success that ha 9 attended the municipalisation of the electric lighting plant. A hard fight will undoubtedly ensue, but the Council, I it is thought, has the Majority of the : ratepayers behind its back in all such \ proposals, /
