THE DRUCE CASE. [United Pbess Association. — Copt eight.] LONDON, Tuesday. __ In the Druce case, Mr Horace Avbry, K.C., contended that overy one of the promoters and subscribers of the Druce companies was liable to be prosecuted for champerty and maintenance. Probably the promoters of the companies would eventually be charged with conspiracy in preferring a false claim to the Portland and other estates, and Hollamby Druce for conspiracy to falsely accuse defendant and swindle foolish subscribers. Defendant would be willing if the interests of justice demanded it, to allow- the grave to be opened. Catherine Bailey, for many years in Druce's employ, testified that he»died in her presence at the Mill Hill residence in December, ?864, The case was adjourned until Friday.
