FINES INFLICTED. i MARTON, Thursday. j The Court was engaged all day with , hearing charges arising out of the dis- [ turbances at Marton on July 27th. ( when a local policeman was mobbed in connection with tho early closing of hotels. John McKinnon, for egg-throw-ing which struck a man, was fined £3. j with costs. Oswald Jefferson and , James Freeman, for throwing stones and breaking the windows at the police station, were fined £10 each, with ) costs. Six other persons for creating . a disturbance were fined £1 each with ) costs. One case was dismissed .
