SYDNEY, Saturday. The German-Australian steamer Varzin, loading for the Continent .It Woolioomoonoo Bay, is on tire, It is supposed to have originated in a quantity of copra, shipped at Brisbane. ' The fire department, assisted by a contingent from H.M.s Powerful, is at work on the fire. Later. The firo was extinguished by flooding the vessel. The extent of the I (.iamage is unknown.
