Armoar, who was m charge of tho boat, was rather severely jammed between the boat and the Te Aro baths, against which the • craft drifted. The steamer is under charter to the United States, and Australasian Steamship Line. A strong wind is still blowing. * The Inveran has 1000 tons of general cargo for Wellington. At half tide this morning she was lying aga i nst a rock amidships, the depth of water on the rock being about two to two and a half to five fathoms fore and aft. The vessel is maW no water, and an attempt will be made to float her off about three o clock if the wind abates. The vessel is lying nearly broadside on, and win have to be towed off in that position.
