THE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
Messrs A. H. Bisley and T. W. Bradshaw have definitely decided to become candidates for seats on the City Council. , Tho following nominations were made t0 Harry Atmore (Cr.), painter, by P. Topliss and John Sharp, senr., and by Jano Stewart and Beatrice M. Bennett. . W'm Geo. Wilson, coachbuilder, by James Blick and George Page. Wm. McConchie, carpenter, by Job Webley and John Charles Mercer. Thomas A. Field, jr., Manager, Wilkins and Field Hardware Coy., by Osmond W. Hanby and Thomas Usher. , , Arthur Thomas Philip Vercoe bootmaker, by J. I-overidge and D. ii. Mr Jessie Piper's Mayoral Electlrm Committee will meet in the Co-opera-tive Rooms, Hardy-street, this evening. A full attendance is requested, and all supporters are invited. Mr C. J. Harley's address to the district electors as a candidate for the Mayoralty appears in our advertising columns to-day. Mr C. J. Harley, a candidate for the Mayoral chair, will address the electors at the Theatre Royal at 8 o clock to-morrow (Thursday) evening. His election Committee are requested to meet in force at the Theatre at 7.30.
