THE ROVERS' FOOTBALL CLUB.
A wel-attended meeting of those interested in re-forming the Rovers'" Football Club, was held at tho Wakefield Hotel on Thursday evening. Mr P. H. Durbridge was voted tp the chair. Very keen interest was manifested in the business of the meeting by all present, which bids fair for the success of the club. The officers were elected as follows : President, Dr Pearless ; Vice-Pre-sidents, Dr Hamilton, Major Franklyn, Rev. 0. R. Hewlett, Rev. E. Allanson, Cantain Cole, Messrs F. B. Peart, H. J. Harris,' C. Hooper, G. Robertson, F. Kinzett, E. McPherson, A. T. White and W. Bullaid; Club Captain, G. Johnson; Field Captain, K. Herd; Secretary, G Shea; Committee, L. Arnold, ■ F. Durbridge, F. Palmer, W. Smith, | Field-Captain Herd is offering a silver (j medal as a trophy for the best maiden play.er. The club has arranged to make a start to-day (Saturday), and decided to have a practice match. A fairly sue- ' cessful season for the Rovers may be looked for, and all wish them every success. j - : .
