' Business men often 'fail because they do not know how to do it. i They can do their own work all j right, 'hut when it comes to directing others, they make a muddle. And the reason is that they lack tact and diplomacy. ' First learn to control yourself, for anybody who cannot do this cannot hope to be a good loader. Patience is another necessary Qualification. Bullying, driving, and fault-find-ing are not the ways to get the best ,out of others, Forclnc methods never result in the l>u»t response from employees. If you would bo a loader of, men cultivate courtesy, 'don't be arbitrary, bo considerate, be very firm say wh&t you mean and mean what you say, work hard yourself and so set a good example, and have a pleasant smile for everybody. When an employee needs correction, instead of scolding and nagging, just sit down and show the offender how to do the thing. To rule by brulo force, and to behave 'like a bull in a cHina shop, making everybody fuel mean and disagreeable, is never really productive of satisfactory results. Unless employees really love and respect you, they will never do their level 'best to please you. I
