The City Council has insured ' property to the extent of £20,000 in the Alliance Company for three years at 5 per cent. . ■ j A consular reporl from Annaberg, Saxony, shows dulness in the trim- \ ming trade of that city, due to the fickleness of fashion. Some old and well-known houses have gone out of business because of the uncertainties attaching to the trimming trade in recent years. i
