SYDEEY, May 3. News from the Solomon Islands reports tribal frffhtiug in the group, attended by cannibalism. A naval encounter occurred between the natives of Alia and the natives 01 the neighbouring island of San Christoval, when the latter were victorious. When the steamer sailed the Alia natives had despatched several war canoes across the hundred miles of sea between the islands to attack their foe.
