YACHTING FATALITY AT WELLINGTON.

(United Press Association.) THREE LIVES LOST. WELLINGTON, Yesterday. A yachting fatality occurred off Pencarrow Heads, at the entrance to Welling ton harbour, to-day, whereby three young m*a lost their lives. Their names are Noel Wilson and his brother, sons of Mr Alex. Wilson, a partner in the firm of McDonald, Wilson & Co., and Hugh Bramley, a clerk in the firm's office. The three deceased left Wellington during the Christmas holidays in a small yacht, the Te Aroha, to cruise in the Maryborough Sounds. They sailed from Picton yesterday, expecting to reach Wellington this afternoon. Their boat was seen this morning for some hours by the signalman at the Heads knocking abont in the heavy sea and the fresh breeze prevailing. At about soon the boat commenced to run in, but immediately afterwards a big Wuve swept over aft, and the ewft seemingly sank like a stone. The crew were seen in the water some time afterwards clinging to a box. One of them j kept afloat for fully fifty minutes. He was j then about ICO feet off the north end #1 \ Barrett's Reef. • This Day, The yacht Te Aroha, which capsized off the Beads yesterday, has been washed up on the Petono beach, about nine or ten miles from the seone of the accident, It seems that the occupants of the boat were Noel Wilson, Hugh T.
