A DANGEROUS IMPOSTOR

MELBOURNE, This Day. Worthington has been sentenced to seven years' Inrd labour for obtaining money from Madame Juveney by false repreEentatinns. Prior to the sentence being passed the prisoner was aßked if be had anything to say. He replied : "I had thought to mention three things, and I hope they will mitigate tbe sentence. First, that during fche last 15 months my health has becu Beriously impaired Second, your Honor might have consideration for my wife and childreu. Lsstly, I ask you to reinemter that 1 have been

The prisoner was stunned on hearing the sentence, and the warder lsd him from the dock. 1
