FURTHER PROROGATION OF THE CAPE PARLIAMENT.
CAPETOWN, April 8. The Cape Parliament has been further prorogued until Ist August. [Cjnstitut : onal Government ha 1 ? been virtually suspended in Cape Colony for ! the last eighteen months. Parliament has not met since the i3lh October, 1901. but has been kept alive by a series of prorogations. Many of the membors re(urned at the last elections have in the meantime forfeited their eeats through treason, Martial law has been the previaling system in Cape Colony,— town as well as country for months past.]
