BErOKT OF THE COMMITTEE. The Abattoir (and _ inance) Committee reported as follows regarding the complaint of the District Health Officer (Dr Roberts) in respect to the removal of .offal by the butchers : —That the offal belongs to the butchers, and they have a right to remove it. That the law permits the feeding of swine on propeny boiled offal. That the law provides that any person feeding swine on unboiled offal is liable bo a penalty not exceeding -350. That they recommend that the particulars of the case referred to be. forwarded to the Health Department in order tbat they may take proceedings if thought fit." The report was adopted. — —
