WAKEFIELD.
PRESENTATIONS. On the 23rd inst. a well attended [ social was tendered to Mr and Mrs S. Wadßworth and family, who are removing from Wai-iti to the Motneka Valley. The function was held in the Upper Wakefield Church under the presidency of tbe Rev. T. G. Carr. Musical items were supplied under the supervision of Miss H. Gilbert, the organist, by tbe Chairman, Misses Batt, and Crop, and Mr Wadeworth. Miss H. Gilbert also sang a solo. Ihe Chairman expressed oi bfe? half of the congregation the general regret at the departure of such earnest workers in tbe church, choir, and Sunday school, andhe waß followed by Messrs F. Tunnicliff, F. J. Hingston, nnd A. Neilson, who further expressed their sense of the loss to be sustained. The Chairman then presented to Mr Wadsworth a beautiful family Bible, a chaste inkstand, and two beautifully illuminated cards and an address expressive ofthe esteem in which the family are held and with good wishes for their future welfare. Refreshments were supplied by, Mesdames A. Baigent Lindsay, F. Tunnicliff Gilbert and others. " God be with' you till we meet again," was sung, and the meeting concluded.
