FRENCH OPINION ON THE SETTLEMENT.
PARIS, June 17. Satisfaction is expressed in France at the British proposals with reference to the China settlement, Had the arrangementa been otherwise, it is felt that Great Britain and Fiance would bare virtually been the sole guarantors of the indemnity loab.
