ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE POLL,
In connect on .vith the elections to the Nelson Harbour Board, to be held in Nelson, Motueka, and Waimea County on Wednesday, Mr Ambrose Moore, the Returning Officer, informs us that he has decided that the poll taken in Waimea Coumy shall be on the basis of one man one ?ote as in Nelson, and not according to Lhe property qualification. The Nelson Harbour Improvement Act says " a vote," and Mr Moore interprets it to mean that the voting qualification is meant to be alike in the city, boroughs, and county,
ln regard to qualification of voters, Mr Moore also desires to make it kuoivn that each person who may be on the rolls [as qualified may vote in the different distiicts, Thus, if A held qualification on the rolls of Nelson, Motueka, and Waimea he could vote for candidates in each distiict.
