On the obverse fide will be the words "In commemoration of the war in South Africa, IbOO-1900, in which 1788 men from New Zealand took j>iufc " The medals will bo struck in the colony. No provision has yet been made for n fastening attachment, and if it is decided to have one, the present estimated cost will be trobled if not quadrupled.
