Maokav was cut on $b 9 chin and his wound had to be sewn up Mrs C. lligg also received a a severe scalp wound, but, the others ware not hurt to any extent.

This Day. Tha man killed in Ihe accident at the berthing of the Tarawera was Mr Andrew Torning, a resident of Aurora-Terrace, and formerly employed by Kirkcaldie & Stains. He was married, and about 30 years of age.
