THE LYTTELTONE WELLINGTON PASSENGER SERVICE.
WELLINGTON, August 1. The Parliamentary Committee set np to consider the beat means of accelerating the passenger service between Lyttelton »nd Wellington have recently examined Mr Bell, chief engineer of the lonic, and Captain Allman, Nau ical Adviser to the Governraeut, and to-morrow will take the evidence of Captain Kempson, of the loaic. The tendency of the evidence is to show that a nineteen-knot vessel will be required to secure a steady speed of six cen knots.
