' This Day, - .Anderson, the man killed at Fahautanai, was a Swede, single, aged 24. AUCKLAND, June 29. Richard Rubbrll, aged 10,: Becond stew-, ard-of the steamer Waitara, fell overboard at Dargaville and was drowned. With reference to the disappearance of Mi' J. P. MoAlister, Bolioitor, from the steamer Waiotahi, it is stated that he was suffering from a growth in his ear, for whioh he had an operation performed some time ago, but the growth recently became renewed. He told a friend he would have to undergo another operation, and there was *a chance that he might bn cured, bnt if it was not successful it meant death or insanity. SYDNEY, June 29. A boy named Bilder, 13 years of age, committed suicide by shooting himself with a revolver. He had threatened to take his life, but there is no apparent reason for the deed. ,
