HOW TO SECURE AMERICA'S DEFEAT. SYDNEY, This Day. The Spanish Consul here states tbat several Spanish residents bave offered their services. Ho has also reoeived an 'offer from a captain of the Eoyal Engineers to provide, for a consideration, a contrivance whioh would assure the defeat of the Americans. The Consul is of opinion that the war willbe a naval one, and that Americans will not have 6uoh an easy task as many people expect.
