THE LESS OF TWO EVILS, [United Press Association.] MELBOURNE, This Day, Sir George Turner, the Premier, opened the Federal campaign last night. While disagreeing from some of the provisions of tbo Commonwealth Bill, he announced that he would vole for the measure and advised all to follow bis example. He said there were objections to union as provided in the Bill, but there were much worse feats oi disunion, and Buch union aa the measure provided, though there were defects, wonld he much preferable to disunion. The speech was received with considerable enthusiasm and cheers were givan for federation.
