MOTUPIKO. THE SPORTS. A meeting of the Motupiko Sports Committee was held in tho Motupiko school on Tuesday evening to receive acceptances, when nearly all the competitors accepted. Tho post entry events promise to be large, so given a fine day ou February Ist, tho sports should be a great success, Mr J. J. Corlett has secured the publican's booth. An afternoon tea will bo provided on the ground. A train will arrive at Spooner's Uange at 11 a.m., and four-horse waggons will be in waiting to convey people to and from tho sports ground at a moderate charge. This should prove quite a novelty to the townspeople.
