"MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM."

"Midsummer Night's Dream" was al fresco in Maitai House grounds (Miss Huddleston's) las* night in aid of the funds of the Nelson Tennis Club, and the attractive prograrmme of a pastoral play and Haydn's " Toy Symphany " gathered a large audience. The weather was especially suitable to an open air entertainment, ami the piece was rendered very creditably indeed. - The principal characters were taken by Miss Catley, Misses Fell (2), Misa Bunny, Miss Leggatt, Miss Lflian Preshaw, Messrs Levien (2*, Grace, Robson, Cooke, young Cecil Preshaw, and others. The skirt and fairy dances were skilfully executed, and altogether the performance was so good that there will be a repetition.
