Taylor I essayed to address a large assembly on tho I Prohibition question. The police made an 3 attempt to quell the disturbance, but wore t powerless. The noise, jostling, cheering 3 and hooting lasted till about nine o'clock, I; when the Prohibitionists abandoned the attempt to speak. Tho whole affair has . caused great excitement.
