WAIMEA POLITICAL LEAGUE, Tbe fortcightly meeting of tlio Waimoa Political Loaguo was held on Wednesday last. Mr J. Avery was voted to the chair. It was agreed, on the motion of Mr Haycock, to discuss (at the next meeting) the resolutions panssed at the County Counoils Conference in Wellington on the 19th, 20th, 22nd, and 23rd of June, 1896, a copy of whicb Mr Haycock had obtained from Mr Joshua Bird. The soholarsh'ip being worth £20 for tho two years, this money should bo applied as a premium for apprenticeship to somo trade or c.liiog.
